B.1994 Michael is a Scottish multidisciplinary artist, based around Edinburgh. He attended the Edinburgh College of Art, where his practice incorporated performances, sculpture, painting and video art. Central to his practice is the desire to innovate and intrigue, all the work he produces is representative of the feelings and emotions he experiences at the time of making, provoking expression that is innately personal to him. Across his body of work there are deeper themes of protestation, social commentary and humour.
His work has been widely exhibited across the UK and he is the recipient of numerous awards such as; RSA NEW CONTEMPORIES Selected Artist 2018, WALTER SCOTT & PARTNERS Go Abroad Fund 2017 along with being shortlisted for the ASTIRE PRIZE in 2017.
